AMINO ACID STRUCTURE

You do not need to remember the different amino acids, but it is useful to see the common structure.

THE PEPTIDE BETWEEN TWO AMINO ACIDS (which you have to be able to draw)

CHROMATOGRAPHY FOR AMINO ACIDS

This is a quite sophisticated lab, needing proper chromatography equipment and also ninhydrin to stain up the amino acids. As the amino acids stain up and show on the chromatography paper, you can expect a “Eureka!” moment!
